ROD VS12 - EDGY CURLS
HH Simonsen has designed all ROD curling irons in collaboration with a number of leading top stylists specializing in long hair styling. The ROD VS12 is the perfect styler for creating "edgy curls" that last all day—and night. The 19 mm oval-shaped barrel, with a double layer of titanium and Teflon infused with oils and tourmaline, maintains a consistent temperature, seals the outer layer of the hair, and restores the natural moisture balance, resulting in a fantastic finish. It makes it easy and fun to be creative on your own.
- Non-stick Teflon-coated barrel
- Temperature adjustment: 110-210°C
- Temperature setting with touch function
- Includes heat-resistant glove and storage bag
How to use
How to use
Prepare Your Hair:
Wash and Dry: Start with clean, dry hair. Curling damp hair can cause damage.
Heat Protection: Evenly apply a heat-protective spray to your hair to minimize heat damage.
Choose the Right Temperature:
Turn on your curling iron and select the appropriate temperature. For fine or damaged hair, use a lower temperature (110-150°C). For thick or coarse hair, a higher temperature (170-210°C) might be more effective.
Allow the curling iron to reach the set temperature before using it.
Section Your Hair:
Divide your hair into sections using hair clips. This will make it easier to curl each part evenly. Start with the bottom layers and work your way up to the top layers.
Curl Your Hair:
Wrap Method: Take a small section of hair (about 2-3 cm wide).
Clamp and Wrap: If your curling iron has a clamp, open it, place the ends of your hair on the heated barrel, close the clamp, then wrap the hair around the barrel. For a clamp-free iron, simply wrap the hair around the barrel without using a clamp.
Hold: Hold the hair around the barrel for about 5-10 seconds. Adjust the time depending on how tight you want the curl and your hair type.
Release: Gently release the curl from the barrel. If using a clamp, open it carefully to let the curl drop off the iron.
Cool Down: Let the curl cool in your hand for a few seconds to help set the shape.
Repeat on All Sections:
Continue curling section by section until all of your hair is curled.
